Hi there, I have a problem with my air conditioner not working.

When I press the AC button the mag clutch does not engage on the compressor. I have checked the relay and power is going to it and have checked that it grounds to the cars ECU as per the wiring diagram. I have also tried bypassing the relay and the Mag clutch engages fine.

Here is where it gets interesting.

The engine cooling fan will not come on either. Either at idle or when I engage the AC (i herd that the fan comes on with it when ac pushed)

I have tested the fan itself and the motor is fine but for some reason neither the AC mag clutch or the engine cooling fan will engage. (The engine fan also does not start when I bypassed the AC relay)

I have heard some places that the engine fan has to work for the AC to engage but am unsure where to start. The car shows no DTC error codes.

All the wires from the dash board to the fuse box to the relay and on to the ECU are 100% working for the AC.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
