2002 Acura TL 6 cyl Automatic
----------------------------------------------------------------
I have an Acura TL 2002. The gas tank was half full when I accidently filled the rest with 24litres of 'gold diesel' , drove home (1km). I tried to syphon it but the hose won't go into the tank for some reason, maybe a filtre blocking at the top of tank or it's not straight to get into the tank? I don't know. How can I get access to drain it? I heard in some cars you can access through the trunk, under the carpet, or under the car. Any info will be of help. Thanks in advance.

Hi redblurb,

There is a check ball/valve so you would not be able to siphon it out from the fuel filler.

1. You can use the drain nut from the bottom of the tank to drain out.

2. You can access the fuel pump from the trunk and siphon from there.

I was told that I could access the fuel pump through the trunk; so I tried, to no avail. I didn't see anything in my trunk that looked like it would be attached to a fuel pump, and I am having trouble seeing under my car to look for the drain nut on the bottom of the fuel tank. Can you give me some specific direction as to where I could find either of these? And which is best, easiest, most practical to access and drain the tank?
