Hello,

My 3.2 TL is making a clunking noise when shifting from 1st to 2nd gear. Almost like a u-joint is bad. Not even sure if this car has u-joints or not. It only happens when I give it alot of gas. If I takeoff slowly, it does not happen. Otherwise everything else is normal

Hi lsg2776,

There are no U-joints but there are CV joints.

The problem you are facing could be due to worn engine mounts, arm bushes, CV inner joints, worn transfer shafts.
