I just bought a 1997 Acura 2.5 TL and the panic button is not working. The red light on the panic button control comes on, but it doesn't lock or unlock the car. The power locks also have stopped working. Are the two things related, and what should I do about it?

You have to press AND HOLD the panic button for 3 seconds, then the alarm will sound. That's all it does.
The power locks does not work. One door or all doors? Main switch or individual switch? From inside or remotely?
Maybe your remote wasn't programmed with the car. Did you buy the remote separately?
