Hello I have a 1999 acura integra GSR 5 spd I recently noticed a little noise coming from my engine compartment I first thought it was a pulley. Its almost like a sqeaking or birds chirping kind of noise not loud just enough to noticed. Again not loud but its there I noticed when I pressed my clutch the noise went away or even when I slightly pressed it. It also went away. Also I am leakin fluid out of my axle seals not alot but enough to make quarter size puddles on the floor I checked my levels they are fine I was wondering should I be concern besides fixing my axle seals? About this slight little noise?

Actually, it is common for the axle seals to leak. Just make sure to check the fluid level on a regular basis. As far as the noise, it sounds like a belt noise based on your description. Try this. With the engine running and vehicle in park with the park brake secured, open the hood and pour a small amoung of water on the accessory belts. Does the sound change? Make sure to protect your eyes and clothing because water will most likely spray back at you.

Let me know what you find.

Joe

If it goes away when you push the clutch in, chances are it is a throw out bearing. It is part of the clutch. If you want to check the drive belts, it wouldn't hurt.
