Integra GSR, 1.7 VTEC model: Post warm-up, engine rpms drops near stall at a stop. It does rebound to normal if it does not stall. At idle, it revs up without hesitation, but then drops to a near stall. The rpms will surge up after letting off the brake. Otherwise, the car runs flawlessly smooth. where should I start troubleshooting? Thank You.

start checking for air leaks around the engine compartment.if you have starting fluid, spray a thin mist around the engine and see if the idle changes. do this with caution.check the brake booster.
power brakes feed off the engine's vacuum.
see if it happens specifically when you step on the brakes
