Listen to the video below. I found myself having to mash the gas the other day and started to hear the noise in the video. I took to the dealer and was told that was normal for hybrids. Just getting a second opinion. Each time I was able to create sound. Vehicle was already moving over 25MPH. No item in the car that was bouncing around. Sounds came from under the center/rear axle area.

Will note my Camry Hybrid doesn’t make the same noise. Now I understand smaller engine, different size car, front wheel drive and so one. So forgot to ask if it’s a Ford noise or if they really meant all hybrids.

I don't see the video; you need to allow time for it to upload on mobile. I don't think all hybrids create a noise, it sounds like they don't want to fix it. Please try the video upload again so I can hear what's going on.

Thank you for the video. Yes, that is a strange noise and is not normal. It sounds like the hybrid drive motor has gone out or is defective. I would take it back to the dealer and if they don't want to help, call Ford directly.

Just wanted to say thanks for confirming the sound is not normal. Took it back in to a different dealer and there was an issue. The bolt for the exhaust hanger was missing. So, the noise was the exhaust bouncing around. Making a donation as a thanks.
