Starts up sounds fine. After driving 4 or 5 blocks the engine sputters and feels like it's going to stall but doesn't. This is between 5 and 30 MPH after 30 MPH it stops but there is a noticeable loss of power in acceleration 2 months now, not getting any worse. I changed the spark plugs, cap and rotor, MAF sensor as well no change.

Hi,

This could be a few different things. For example, a failing fuel pump or filter or even an exhaust-related (restriction) or EGR issue.

To get started, follow the directions in the following link, and let me know if you retrieve any diagnostic trouble codes.

Note: This has an OBD1 system and doesn't require a scan tool to retrieve codes.

Let me know what you find. If you are unable to perform this test, pay attention to see if there are any strange odors from the exhaust, smoke from the exhaust, or any rattling or strange sounds from the exhaust system.

Let me know.

Take care,

Joe
