Hi,
So on advanced auto parts it says this will fit with my truck:
https://shop.advanceautoparts.com/p/interdynamics-certified-a-c-pro-power-clean-flush-106-lbs-ca-compliant-ca-1/7010021-P?searchTerm=ac+pro

Is this a charging thing also? It says flush, I know I need a charge. At least that's what Valvoline said and tried to charge me $149.99 lol.
So I guess I should be asking a few things.

1. How can I be sure I need a charge? The dude told me that pressure was getting high and I am getting close to it "exploding".
My A/C is plenty cold in my opinion, although I want to be sure.

2. If I do need a charge, will what I linked be okay to charge it? It says flush but it comes up as a result for charging.

3. Does it come with all the tools needed? Meaning a hose and gauge? What else would I need if anything?

Good evening.

Flushing is never recommended for any A/C system. The issue is that the flush does not come out of the system during the evacuation. The boiling point of the flush is higher than the temperature during the evacuation. that will result in the A/C not working correctly.

1. Ask them the pressures that lead them to this conclusion.

2. You need a full set of gauges and a vacuum pump to do this procedure.

3. No, no tools come with the parts.

The price you were given is a good price. I know you think it is high but it is actually a lower price than most places.

I don't understand. From what I've seen online I thought you needed: https://shop.advanceautoparts.com/p/autocraft-r-134a-heavy-duty-charging-hose-ac993-gbm-4/9220016-P

and

https://shop.advanceautoparts.com/p/interdynamics-certified-a-c-pro-r-134a-pag-46-refrigerant-oil-with-ice-32-8-fl-oz-gpl-5/7060122-P

I saw somebody on YouTube just connect those and then to the lower A/C and then monitor the gauges? What other tools would I need besides those?

Some YouTubers are not a good reference besides 2CarPros channel to do the job correctly. They show short cuts.

You need to do the job correctly. That's why you pay the price for a shop to perform the repair correctly. Otherwise you could damage some of the components. You tube does not cover that.

Sure, you cannot use it if you choose to do that.

I never have used a YouTube video. I just have seen too many issues with safety and procedures that lead people in the wrong direction. Just my opinion.
