The A/C compressor shuts off as soon as you turn the blower motor, but as long as the blower motor is off the A/C compressor will stay on. But soon as you turn on the blower motor it cuts off. I've changed the blower motor resistor and checked the Freon.

Hello and welcome to 2CarPros! Just so I'm 100% clear here, is it at the exact same time that the AC stops and the blower starts? Or is there a varying delay. If it's the exact same time, or a consistent delay, then you need a control head. At this age and mileage, I'd bet on that.

I'm attaching Alldata's information on how to replace it. It's very simple really. You can find control heads for these trucks for cheap on Ebay and at the local u pull it.

Right. The truck uses the compressor to help with moisture control while the AC is off. When you turn it on though, it's supposed to now start running through that switch and a relay. The most likely cause of an issue at that point is the head. There are ways of getting it tested, but frankly it'll be cheaper to pull a head unit from another car or Ebay it. Simple as that.
