The air blows out of the defrost in the dash. A/C control module? How do I fix this? Thank you for any help.

Hi,

It sounds like an issue with the mode door actuator. That is what is responsible for airflow direction.

To get you started, take a look through this link. It explains in detail what is the most likely cause of this condition.

If you look below, I included the directions for replacing the actuator. What I would recommend is to first remove it and while it is still connected, see if it responds when you change the airflow direction. On the other hand, if you hear a clicking sound when trying to change the direction, chances are there is a plastic gear in the actuator that has been stripped.

Let me know if this helps or if you have other questions.

Take care,

Joe
