If the blower motor is running it's not the resistor. It's sounds more like a control issue. You say you replaced the low side switch and can jumper one side to ground and it will turn the compressor on. That at least eliminates the compressor, it's relay and fuses. However because of the design it doesn't tell much about the rest of the system. The pressure switch is normally closed when the system has a charge in it and the pressure isn't high. Jumping it to ground might help isolate which side to look at though. Which wire did you jump, the Red w/orange or the Blue w/red side? The Red goes to the HVAC controls, the Blue goes to the powertrain module.
