Hi,

What you described sounds like an issue with the mode door actuator. The mode door is what directs airflow to different places. If you are getting airflow from a different location such as the defroster or floor but can't get it from the dash vents, this is my first suspect.

What I would recommend is to remove the actuator and confirm it is working or actuating when you select a different airflow direction.

If you look at the pics below, they are the directions and pics which correlate with the replacement of the actuator. Use these directions to remove and inspect. If it is bad, replace it.

I hope this helps. Let me know if you have other questions.

Joe

I believe so. Someone mentioned maybe it's the fan that's not blowing? Is there a way to trouble shoot that or is a replacement needed?

If you can't hear the fan turning on, that is the problem. You should be able to hear it.

Take a look at the pics below for trouble shooting an inoperative blower motor. The pics are included as well.

Let me know if this is something you feel comfortable doing.

Take care,
Joe
