I had my driver side front ABS sensor changed after it developed a fault 2 days ago. Now every time I start the car and I brake for a few minutes I get a grinding noise every time I press the brake pedal. After a few minutes the noise goes, and the ABS light comes back on and the grinding noise stops. I was told that my front discs need changing in about a month which is booked in for. I'm a total novice, any advice would be very grateful.

So, does the grinding noise feel like it is in the brake pedal? If so, this is the ABS system coming on when there is not a problem. This happens because one of the sensors or bearing hubs needs to be replaced. Let's scan the ABS system which is easy. Just follow this guide to see how and I have left generic instructions in the guides below to show you what needs to be done to fix the problem, so you know.

ABS code scanner is about $30.00 on Amazon.

Please run down these guides and report back. Let us know what happens and please upload pictures or videos of the problem.
