ABS started having issues exactly a week after I replaced the camshaft position sensor. The ABS dash light is on and when braking and coming to stop the ABS engages and acts like it’s sliding on ice. Are these things related? If it is or isn’t related, what might be the problem and what do I need to do to fix it?

These are not related; it sounds like you have a front bearing hub which houses the ABS traction control sensor that is going out which is common. You can do an ABS code scan to see which one is failing. Here is a video to show you how and I have included how to change out the bearing hub in case you need it. It may be just the sensor. I have included the instructions for this repair as well.
