The ABS light is on, and I took it in. It seems the module needs replacing. Total is almost $1,400.00 which is about what the truck is worth. Other than not allowing the brakes to lock up, if I drive like this, what could be the consequences?

Thanks

The only problem is the brake will lock up, other than that you can drive it and you should be okay, keep in mind the ABS will not work. You could just change it out yourself and even get a used unit to save money, it is pretty easy because it-self learns so there is no programming needed. Here are the instructions for you in the images below. Let me know if you need anything else.
