ABS and Engine light turned on?

ABS light and Engine light

Hey, my car (a Mercedes B180 CDI) has just suddenly had the ABS light turn on and later the engine light also turned on. When I turned on the car I hadn’t put it in accessory mode before starting it and since it’s a different car then I am used to I hadn’t held the key long enough to start the engine (it was silly of me but I am a learner and I was in the car myself to start it, plus the key had clicked in to the mode before accessories). When I got it started it drove for a few minutes and ran fine till the ABS light turned on which limited my speed (run flat indicator was also unavailable). I parked it and turned it off and back on, I did it the same way as before and the engine light turned on as well after a few mins of running. I had some work done with ball joints and the mechanics looked over the car and said it was in perfect order, so the issue was only starting today. (Extra info, the car gets driven once or twice a week with the battery plugged in the whole time, plus it’s a diesel engine. Could this be faulty sensors?
