Traction, ABS, and brake lights on, no limp mode. Codes are for all wheel sensors except left. Via scanner shows all 0 except for the front left which works fine. Took rear wheel off cleaned sensor, put a washer, nothing. Ring looks clean and no glossy marks. Is this most likely an ABS module?

Hi,

It's odd if they all failed at the same time. Also, replacing the ABS module can be an expensive mistake. By chance, have you scanned for codes? Could you let me know what they are?

Also, have you checked to see if the sensors are producing voltage?

Take a look at this link:

Let me know.

Waiting for an ABS tester. Question: if the speed part of the cluster is bad will it cause ABS lights to go off like that? I doubt. Also, I hear there is a speedometer sensor on the rear differential, can you confirm if these cars do?

Hi,

If the is a sensor on the differential, I'm not familiar with it. As far as your question regarding the cluster is concerned, anything is possible, but I wouldn't think that would cause the light to turn on.

Let me know if you have other questions.

Take care.

I don't know how to explain it, but only after replacing all four sensors with genuine BMW sensors that all is good. I don't understand how all four can go bad.

Hi,

Thanks for the update. I totally agree with you. I don't see how they all failed at the same time either. Anything is possible, but it is very unlikely.

There is a chance you moved around the correct wiring to complete a connection and have the system working again. However, again, that shouldn't have caused failure on all four.

Regardless, I'm glad to know it's working for you, and appreciate you letting me know the outcome. Feel free to come back anytime in the future. You are always welcome.

Take care,

Joe

Possible. But I replaced them one at a time, and every time I did that particular one has started to work.

Hi,

Wow. Then it makes sense they all failed. Regardless, I'm glad to know things are working properly again.

You take good care of yourself,
