When the regular air is on low it blows warm air?

Conditioner works but when it is off and setting of regular air is on low it blows warm air. Low air setting doesn't blow cool. I don't see any leaks of fluid on ground. Googling around suggests it's a blend door actuator issue. If this sounds correct, what can I do to fix this? I am handy and willing to do it myself if I can find the part and have detailed instructions. Thanks for your help.

Hi,

I'm not sure where you are located, but if the outside temperatures are hot, this seems somewhat normal. If the vehicle sits out in the sun, the dash, duct work, and under the dash gets hot and it will seem to blow warm air.

As far as the blend door actuators, if you are able to turn the temperature to hot and the air temperature gets hot and then blows warm again when you select cool, the actuator sounds like it is working. Also, there are two air mix control motors (blend door actuators). Chances both wouldn't fail at the same time.

When you are in it again, pay attention to see if the temperature on both sides are the same. Also, try switching from cold to hot and back to see if the system responds.

Let me know.

Joe
