Took it to Firestone and they ran a “comprehensive” A/C test and determined the A/C refrigerant was over charged. They brought it back down to operating pressure. Blew cold for 10 minutes. Once I parked and got back in the vehicle, the A/C was no longer blowing cold air. Should I check the relays and fuses next? Also, I wanted to add they said there were no leaks.

Hi,

When you turn the A/C on, do you hear the A/C compressor engage? Do this, open the hood and start the engine. Turn the A/C on. Go to the front of the van and see if you hear the compressor clicking on and off. Note: there will be delays between clicks. It doesn't happen constantly.

If you look below, I attached a pic of the compressor. At the front of the compressor is the compressor clutch and pulley. When it receives power, the center of the compressor will click and begin to spin. After a short time, power will stop, you'll hear a click, and the center will stop turning. It will cycle back and forth.

Let me know if that is happening. Also, let me know if it is cooling at all and confirm the engine size for me. I assume it's the 6.0L and an Express 2500 but want to confirm.

Take care,

Joe
