A/C stopped blowing cold air. Blower fan works. Checked A/C clutch and it won't engage at all while running. The condenser fan does not turn on. Relays checked good and the one fuse I found for A/C was good. I have also connected up a gauge( the one that came with the r-134A recharge bottle) and read ~70 lbs (compressor still not turning on). I have not checked the low pressure sensor yet. The three relays checked were all in their own little housing and I swapped them around and still no change. Each had a good coil resistance of 168 ohms and the relay energized with 12 vdc applied. Not sure what else to heck after the Low Pressure Switch.

Welcome to 2CarPros.

If you have 70psi on the low side, that is too high. Either it is overcharged or the compressor has failed. The only way to confirm what is going on is to check high side pressure. Honestly, with outside temps at 110° F, the low side pressure should be no more than 55 psi.

What I need you to do is get a manifold gauge set so we can see what the pressure is on both sides. If both are high, it is overcharged. If the low side is high and the high side is low, either you have a blockage or the compressor has failed.

Here is a link that shows how to use a manifold set of gauges to evacuate and recharge the system. What I need you to do is check static pressure on both sides at the same time and let me know the results. Also, let me know the outside temperature when checked.

Let me know what you find.
