Hi,
Since this vehicle came with a 6.0L as an option, it won't be an issue with fitting it. The problem comes with electronics, transmission, vacuum hoses, and so on. That can become a bit of a nightmare. LOL
As far as the choice, it really is based on what you plan for the truck. The LY6 is a cast-iron engine and would likely be more durable. So, if you plan to use it as a truck, that LY6 would likely be my first choice. Additionally, it has slightly lower compression (9.6:1 VS 10.4:1) so the engine will run better on lower octane fuel. Both engines do come with the L92 heads, but due to the reduced compression and different intakes/injectors, the LY6 doesn't produce quite as much HP.
On the other hand, the L76 is an aluminum engine and would be great if you plan for performance.
With that being said, it really will depend on your plans for the truck after the swap.
I hope that helps. I'm not 100% sure what you specifically need. So, let me know if you have other questions.
Take care,
Joe
