My Dear,

My vehicle listed above V8 1vd ftv engine. The, 4lo light blinks and engine light is on after some distance driving. When the vehicle is diagnosed with scan tool it has the following dtcs፦ P2121, P2138, C1249, C1246 and C1268.
What would be the root cause of the problem? How can I fix the problem?
With great regard.

Good evening,

The 2 21 codes are for the accelerator position sensor. There are 2 sensors and they are not reading correctly.

I attached the wiring diagram and possible failures for you on those 2 codes.

You will need a scan tool to monitor the operation of the sensor.

I cannot see the ABS codes that you listed. I will keep looking.

Thank you for giving me wiring diagram for P2121. You didn't say any thing about C1249, C1246 and C1268.

The only thing I could find is the 1249 is for an open circuit for the brake light switch.

Do the brake lights work?

The other codes are for the sensors. You need to test the sensors at there connections with an ohmmeter and you should have 800-1700 ohms. If any are out of spec, replace them.

Thank you very much! I have one question, I removed transfer actuator to check the condition of the motor and contacts. Would you you please guide me the position of the actuator rod with respect to the position of the actuator motor's big gear three contacts?

Why did you remove the motor? Did the motor work when you commanded 2 or 4 wheel drive?

I am going to need pictures of what you see.

Yes, the neutral contact switch in the motor assembly is not working. But the motor works. Would you please send me a procedure to install actuator motor assembly? I already bought the new motor assembly.

Hello,

If I can say I would service the throttle actuator which could be causing the issues. Here is the transfer case actuator location so you can replace it with a guide to show you how to do the service:

Check out the diagrams (below). Please let us know what you find. We are interested to see what it is.
