We just replaced the 46rh transmission with another 46rh transmission. It was shifting fine and then after shutting the vehicle off and restarting it it would not shift until it 3,000 rpm's. We rechecked wires and everything, there was a loose wire, fixed it. Now it will not shift until it hits 4,000 rpm's. We are at a loss of what is going on and how to get it to shift at a lower rpm.

Hello, I am Danny.

When you hooked up the transmission linkage to the throttle (Detent-Downshift linkage) was it an electric connection or was it a mechanical cable style linkage? Certain transmissions use that mechanical cable style linkage to not only control downshifting put it also controls the transmissions line pressure which affects the shift points if not properly adjusted. It has to be spot on to perform correctly. Hope this helps and let me know. Thanks for using 2CarPros.
