The mirror is intact within the casing. The casing itself is not damaged and the mirror moves well within the casing using the controls by the side of the driver seat. The place where the plastic casing that holds the mirror is connected to the plastic extension from the car is loose. I tried to move it around to see if it snaps back in place, but it doesn't, and I don't know how to open it up to see what is wrong. Is there any easy fix to repair this?

It sounds like the mounting bolts are loose to the sub structure. I have included instructions in the diagrams below to help you see how the mirror works and how to disassemble it for the repair needed. Watch for broken parts because it is plastic and can become brittle. In which case the mirror will need replacement. Check out the diagrams (below). Let us know what happens and please upload pictures or videos of the problem.

Hi Ken,

Thank you for sharing the diagrams. I have uploaded a picture of the mirror and where it is loose. How do I start opening the mirror? Is there a video or step-by-step instructions that can help? I find YouTube videos very helpful but could not find one that shows how to fix this issue.
