So today, the girl's car A/C went out, blowing hot air - I went to Harbor Freight and bought this Pittsburg R134A A/C Manifold Gauge Set and was only using it to see if the AC was empty (I never used it before, just seen them used before.) - I will post the before car off and car on readings.

I don't know what these numbers mean, but I went to the auto parts store to use one of those A/C charges with the gauge. - I believe it was this one - Arctic Freeze R-134a Refrigerant Kit: Includes Hose with Gauge, Seals and Delivers Colder Air, 18 oz, CA Compliant - When using this, it pointed to "Yellow."

This stated, "No additional refrigerant needed, " so based on this, I thought, "okay, so the refrigerant is still inside, " this would mean that the A/C is no longer turning on engaging".

I also noticed no more "click" when you press the "A/C" button. - Before this, a while ago, we took the car in and found that the A/C hoses needed to be replaced, and they stated at that time that the "A/C Compressor" might need to be replaced. - But they never stated why or anything.

If this means that the "A/C Compressor" needs to be swapped out, I went to Ford Parts to check by VIN, and it pulled up two compressors.

Air Conditioning (A/C) Compressor - 2.0l. - Part #: YCC362 (CV6Z19703J)

Air Conditioning (A/C) Compressor - Part #: YCC463 (H1FZ19703B)

Honestly, I have no idea which one, or does it matter? Can it be swapped out completely? I went to RockAuto, and it shows the following.

When you say car on, do you mean the car is on and the AC system as well? If so, it looks like the compressor is no good or the clutch coil has gone bad, or the compressor is not getting power.

This guide can help:

I would turn the system on and use a test light to see if the compressor is getting power.

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-use-a-test-light-circuit-tester

Also here are the A/C system wiring diagrams so you can see how the system works and which fuses to check and the color of the wire that powers the compressor. If the compressor is getting power the coil or compressor needs to be replaced.

Here is a generic guide to help you step by step with instructions in the diagrams below to show you how on your car.

There are two different compressors depending on the manufacturer's date. This video will show you how to vacuum down and recharge the system.

Clutch CV6Z19D786A - $263.64
Compressor
From 2/4/14 H1FZ19703B $1054.35
To 2/4/14 CV6Z19703J $910.15

Check out the images (below). Let us know what happens and please upload pictures or videos of the problem so we can see what's going on.
