My partner owns a 2011 Holden VE commodore, the car has hardly done any mileage. Over the past 6 months we have tried several times to fix the seat belt sensor. The problem is while anyone is driving the vehicle the seat belt is clearly locked in secure but the seat belt alarm keeps alerting us saying that you have not go your seat belt on even though clearly the driver does. This is only happening on the drivers side the part that gets me the most is to stop the alarm your have to release your seat belt and reconnect back while driving, even then this only stops the alarm for about 15 minutes. Please help it is driving me crazy!

Hey JUICE7

This sounds like you have a BCM or the seat belt latch that is bad, I would try replacing the receptacle first.

Please let us know happens so it will help others.

Best, Ken

This is a common issue when the sensor inside the buckle that tells the BCM that the seat belt is buckled as failed. The way to tell this is if the BCM is seeing the sensor change state when you connect the buckle.

You will need a scan tool that can monitor the BCM in order to do this. However, I expect you will find that the BCM is showing the seat belt not buckled when it is. This means the buckle needs to be replaced.

Here is a video that will show a scan tool that is able to do this:

I attached the process below on how to replace the buckle as I suspect this is the issue. However, if it is not the buckle then the BCM is not telling the cluster to turn off the signal. Thanks
