Ford is famous for worn steering and suspension parts. You should have any car inspected at a shop of your choice, not the seller's, before you agree to a price. They will check those systems, as well as the brakes, tire wear, stored diagnostic fault codes in the Engine Computer, and things like that. If the asking price for the car is suspiciously low, there's probably a reason. You might want to ask for a more in-depth inspection to include a compression test on the engine. If the seller refuses to allow you to take the car for two or three hours for the inspection, pass on it, regardless of the price.
Keep in mind too that the newer the car is, the more electronics will be on it, and the more chances to need expensive repairs. There's no part of the cars now that doesn't involve a computer module, and intermittent problems are common and hard to diagnose.
