Passenger side caliper is leaky around thread area with both new and old bleeder screw. Currently I put teflon tape around threads and that seems to work. I am keeping eye on it. Is there something else that can be done?

Good evening,

It sounds like the seat is bad on the new caliper. I would return the caliper and get a new one.

The tape will not last as the brake fluid will break it down and it will leak again.

I attached the procedure below for the repair.

Actually I meant bleeder screw was new. Is safe to drive for now. Last I checked area around brake bleeder was dry.

I would not trust it at all. As I stated, there is something wrong with the seat of the caliper for it to leak.

The tape is temporary. The fluid will break down the tape and it will leak again.

Replace the caliper.
