Emission testing

My car has been stored for 6 months with a disconnected battery. I have to take through emission testing what should I do?

Hello,

If it did not have emission issues before it should not have any now. However, it will be a good idea to start the vehicle and drive as you normally would.
Look for any type of warning lights or drivability issues.
If there is an emission issue it should trigger the check engine light. If possible, drive it for couple of days before getting it tested.

You can also use a scanner to scan for any stored codes.

The common issues with the emission system would be faulty oxygen sensor or EVAP leaks.
