I have a Mazda 2 and recently drove over a concrete median strip n scraped all the underneath of the car! It seems ok but every now and again I feel a slight crunching in the steering when have I damaged it badly?

Chances are the damage is not serious. Raising it up on a hoist is the best way to snoop around underneath so it can be inspected. The most common things that get damaged are bent wheels and crushed heat shields around the exhaust pipe. You would feel a bent wheel as a shimmy in the steering wheel. Something could be out of position and rubbing on the steering linkages causing the crunching feeling.
