Today my SUV started moving very slowly and I got an alert say the engine is low power. I went to AutoZone to get the check engine light checked. It came back with codes, P0521, P0121 and P2135. They suggested that I replace the I replace the Engine Oil Pressure Switch. That got me thinking about the fact that I have recently been having to add more oil to the engine very early. I thought I may have a leak, have not looked for it yet. But today the pressure was reading normal at the time it was not getting power. So is it best to just replace the Engine Oil Pressure Switch, or is there some other thing that I should check first?

First thing is to not believe parts people they only sell parts. If oil pressure sensor can be bad so if you want replace it but also check for a blown head gasket as you are using oil. Second the 521/2135 codes there is a special coverage regarding this and dealers will fix for free for 120,000 miles/ten years regardless of ownership it is 11273b campaign number so call to see if you qualify they will need your VIN number. Also, tell them you have the last two codes especially the 2135 because you are over mileage they may still fix it or charge labor only.
