In checking the voltage on my trailer 7pin plug I find I have 12v on the brake pin when I push the adjusting arm to the left but I can't get any voltage on the pin when I step on the brakes, no matter how many times I press the plus button. Do I have a bad controller??

check fuses underhood first to see if you have one blown, then have it scanned to see if it's the controller or transducer at master cyl. it could also be a bad connection or wire leading to connectior.
