Hello, I'm Danny.

Here is the information you requested. This issue could be caused by 3 different possible things. First I would check the windshield wiper fuse in location 38 in the under dash fuse box. Here is a tutorial showing how to test and replace fuses:

Secondly there could be a wiper circuit wiring problem. Here is a tutorial showing how to test electrical circuits:

Lastly, It could be a failed wiper motor assembly. I've attached picture steps below showing the fuse location, Wiper motor replacement instructions, And the wiper motor wiring circuit for your car. Hope this helps and thanks for using 2CarPros.

Ran Wipers to move snow off windshield and they went half way up and stopped. The motor runs but the linkage fell off of the motor arm. I popped the linkage connector pivot back onto the motor arm and it worked fine for a few days and now with more snow it popped off again. Is it normal for the pivot connector to pop off, should I be replacing part of the system, nothing appeared broken and it popped back together really easily last time.

Your wiper system is not made to clear snow. Only a slight trace of snow. You can try replacing the ball socket that clips on the linkage, but really. You shouldn't be trying to wipe snow off with your wipers. The component is probably a bit weak since it is 10 years old.

We learned the snow thing the hard way. How can that socket be replaced?

Merena, you may want to double check with honda if you can just replace that socket. Unforunately, now that I think about it I doubt it can be replaced individually. You will most likely have to purchase a whole new linkage from honda.

Going to go take it apart again and see if it will hold again. Thanks for the help, Honda says you have to buy the whole linkage for 260ish or the motor for 360.

Well as long as it clips into place, I don't see a problem with it. Like I said, it's not meant to wipe off snow, so don't use your wipers for that and it should be fine.
