The first thing is to check the fuses again after the battery was disconnected. They often blow from the surge of current when reconnecting the battery due to the many computers on the truck. If none are blown, there is often another 10 amp fuse plugged into the back of the radio. You may have also put the radio into theft mode by disconnecting the battery and it will have to be unlocked by the dealer. I'm not up on the latest Toyota radio systems.
Rather than replacing the entire radio, there are places that can repair them. The rest of us can no longer buy radio service manuals so you're stuck with the dealer and their over-priced repair centers. I used to deal a lot with Downtown Radio of Denver, Inc. And was very happy buying parts and service manuals from them until they stopped doing that. You can also look into United Radio of New York. Both of them will not repair the cd or dvd mechanisms. They install new replacements unless the cause of the problem is simple like a defective switch or sensor.
