After I start my vehicle and place my shifter into drive, there is a full 1 second delay before transmission engages. There is a noticeable delay as oppesed to when I put the vehicle into Reverse compared to Drive. Plus it does not seem as smooth as it should be when I place vehicle into Drive. I had the transmission rebuilt at approximately 50,000 miles. The transmission was completely shot. So, now I'm having this issue. The vehicle had been maintenanced regularly and is in very good condition overall. What should I do? Can Aamco diagnose this issue, or any other good mechanic? What am I looking at as far as cost just to diagnose this issue?

Thanks

Steve

Hi Steve,

Have you looked at the fluid level? I know its simple but it could cause the problem you are describing.
