2008 Pontiac Torrent Passenger stop light not working

Stop light doesn't work on the passenger park lamp. When I put a new bulb in the stop light burned out. Park lamp still works but stop light doesn't come on brakes are applied.

You need to use a test light to test for power and ground in the socket but you likely have a bad socket.
