I have a Nissan Sentra 2008 with a CVT Transmission. I have been hearing a high pitch whine for a while and now the whining noise got louder and I have no power when I step on the gas. The engine runs fine no problems there, but I'm smelling what it seems to be burnt transmission fluid.

Under warrenty I have had two brand new CVT transmission put in my vehicle. What could be this issue or why is my car going through transmissions?

thats a question that the dealer should answer for you. they have the old ones and have seen the failures. they need to return the units to the company with explanations as to why it or they fail.

i have seen little or no failures with these units.
