2008 Gmc Sierra Motor Blew Found New Used One Just Wondering Ly5 That Will Work

my motor blew up and i found a new/used one i was just wondering if the ly5 motor that i found will work for the lc9 that was in it the only differance that i see is the ly5 is cast iron and the lc9 is aluminum cast

2008 5.3 lc9 motor in it right now want to replace it with the 2008 5.3 ly5 motor
