I know what the problem is. It's my alternator. I was wondering how hard it is to replace it. Firestone wants $492. And the alternator is by reman. I found one on o relielys for $143. Is it worth doing myself and are there any guides on this?

Steak is four bucks a pound at the grocery store but 20 bucks at a restaurant.

If you want to do your own work, get a copy of the service manual through the dealership. That will list the procedures for each engine size, along with drawings and any necessary warnings.

The most common failures on Chrysler / Nippendenso alternators is worn brushes. Very often those can be replaced without removing the alternator from the engine.
