I have a 2007 volvo s80 that has a message of matinence overdue and I can't delete it, how do I remove the message

Turn the key to position one. Press the trip button in. While holding the button in turn the key to position two. Keep holding the button and within 10 seconds you should see the triangle flash. Once it flashes release the trip button.
