My car went in last week for a tire sensor. They told me it also needed a wheel bearing ($678). I picked up the car and the brakes were suddenly mushy. When I stopped the ABS kicked in, locked and the car skidded. I returned the car to the dealership. I f they replace a wheel bearing can they damage the Master Brake Cylinder. What should it cost to replace the Master Brake Cylinder?

Wow! First, I would get a second opinion. The price for the bearing is very high. As far as the master cylinder, why are they saying it is bad? Did you notice weak brakes? Did the brake pedal go down to the floor? And as far as the wheel bearing, were you hearing a howing sound that changed when you turned?
