My car is a Hyundai santro GLX 2007 model. When I took it to a service centre for a 30000 km service, they showed me that the subframe of the engine is partially rusted and the reason cited for this is that the water from the air conditioning had been dripping onto the subframe which eventually resulted in the rusting. They say that the subframe has to be replaced as a whole. This is quite expensive. I would like to avoid replacing the whole subframe if there is an alternate solution. My second question is how is it that the water from the AC is dripping on the subframe, then this should be a problem in every santro GLS model and would repeat even if I replaced the subframe. What is the permanent solution for this problem?
