It is a 2007 Dodge Calliber Sxt 2.0 engine and cvt transmission. Its hard to explain but you can kind of feel it in the pedal while driving. You can feel its not running normal. When I let off the gas say going 55 mph it starts to slow down. But it takes longer to slow down and when I apply the brakes it barely even helps. And while you get down to around 20 mph the rpm will go back up then down and keep fluctuating. I can get it to a complete stop but then when I try to go I push down on the gas pedal and it won't take off. It takes around 5-10 seconds to even get up to 10 mph and the rpm looks normal as if it was running normal like before. Its like its not getting enough power to go kind of for take off and when it slows down it seems like its too much power to stop correctly. Got it home luckily and put it in park. The rpm would go between the 5 and 8 and down to 4 rpms. So I gave it gas and rpm went up like normal. The second time I gave it gas the rpm went down to about the 2 dash line before the 5 mark. It hasn't done any of this before and I have three kids and don't feel its safe to drive. Do you have any idea what it is?

scan for codes first then have a trans guy look at it there may be asolenoid/motor not working right in trans.
