Why is my chevy cobalt not reading my coolant temperature?

Seems this is a common problem with no ideal solution yet? Is your heater nice and hot? If not new thermostat. Check temp connector for corrosion? Maybe replace it? Sensor could be faulty if heater is nice n hot.

Yes my heater gets hot. I had a crack in my radiator and alot of coolant was leaking and the problem happened a couple days before I replaced my radiator.
