2007 BMW 335 temperature problems

I did upper radiator hose and coolant replace. When I turned on the car. Why the temperature goes up and down, then warning light comes on. Someone say I need to drive it more to get the air inside the radiator comes out. Did he right?

No. You need to get the air out before overheating the engine. There will be something to open or remove near the thermostat housing where you attached the hose. There might be a bleeder screw, otherwise look for a sensor or threaded plug that can be removed. Fill the coolant until it runs out of that opening.
