Car sitting idle

My car has been sitting idle for around 5 months due to a football injury ive not been able to use it. I have tried to start it and obviously the battery is dead. It would seem that the brakes are ceased aswell. Is it safe to start the engine if I use jump leads. The car is a renault megane coupe.

It would be OK better to have BATT charged and tested. Brakes may try bleeding
