new tranny or sensors

hello. i have a 2006 pontiac g6 gtp. the other day when i went to pull out in drive the car wouldnt move it just reved. now when i put the car in manumatic it will go but slips in 1st. also if i am going about 45mph i can switch out of manumatic to drive and it drives normally until i come to a stop. any advice would greatly b appreciated as i dont have much $ at the time to get it checked out. thank u

make sure the fluid is full, I don't remember is you have a dipstick on this car though, if fluid is brown there is maybe a problem and a trans guy could tell you, but from the slipping you describe it doesn't sound very good.
