Idling of the engine would change, when I shift from N to D. It seems to want to die. However about a second after, it is able to recover its normal idling. Lately, the engine would just die while running and it always happens when i'm uphill. I can however start the engine immediately. The km reading is around 140,000+ kms. What should I check and do to fix this problem.

The engine idle could be the result of a vacuum leak or the idle air control valve. As far as the stall issue going up hills, check to make sure the fuel pump pressure is within the manufacturer's specs.
