When I turn on my left turn signal, it blinks once, and stops. The dash indicator flashes once and stops, and the turn signal switch stays down. I also notice the backlight on my radio clock dims when I do this. Right turn signal works normally (no dim on radio). Hazard lights also blink once and stop. When I turn on my headlights, both left and right turn signals seem to work normally (and no clock backlight dim). The other day, my truck would also not start after driving to the store (no response at all with turn of key). I wiggled the wires on the battery and it started up fine (though indications the battery had been disconnected and reconnected). I'm not sure if these two are related or if it was just a coincidence.

Clean terminal endson battery and go to tire store/auto parts to h ave battery checked for condition including load test. Most do for free. If it's your turn signal then it's the hazard switch as flasher is part of the switch.

Thanks, I'll clean the terminals and have the battery checked. Do you think it could be a problem with the Body Control Module? I had read that the signal flasher relay was embedded on this module and that issues with the module could manifest themselves in different ways. I'm not getting any check-engine lights (or corresponding codes when I run a diagnostic) - but a BCM is about $475 (through nissan) whereas a hazard switch is closer to $40.

Yes flasher ir isn body module instead of like other cars which are in hazard switch. I dont' see any tsb's on this so have it scanned first. Maybe a used bcm can be installed and programmed to your car you don't need to go to a dealer for it. Also check into rebuilt ones for a cheaper alternative. If this is a big problem then there is probably a fix for it.
